The phrase that has been echoing in my heart this past week is: “It’s only a matter of time…”
I’ve been feeling, seeing, and sensing that God was giving this to me—to encourage our family. But as I shared it with others, I saw how deeply it resonated with them too.
So here I am, sharing it with you… to bring hope and perspective for whatever season you find yourself in.
Waiting on the Right Opportunity
Our eldest son has been applying for jobs since November, and I have no doubt that the right opportunity will come at the right time.
Sometimes, we do all we can and leave the rest to God, trusting that His plans are for our good and will unfold perfectly.
“It’s only a matter of time.”
📖 Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV) – “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
When Goodbyes Are Drawing Near
My husband’s stepdad is winding down, his body showing signs of withering. It’s hard to watch and feel powerless to help.
Sometimes, the best we can do is pray and treasure the time we have. Impending change forces us to slow down and appreciate each moment, making it richer. Of course, we can choose to ignore it—but that would steal something truly precious from us.
“It’s only a matter of time.”
📖 Psalm 90:12 (NIV) – “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Dreams That Take Time to Grow
I dream of a world where we stop fixating on our flaws and start embracing our strengths.
Three years ago, I started writing course material to help introverted authors find their voice. The progress has been slow, but as I keep saying yes and taking small steps forward, I am getting there!
Sometimes, the end result depends entirely on our action or inaction. Each step we take moves us forward.
“It’s only a matter of time.”
📖 Galatians 6:9 (NIV) – “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
The Power of a Moment
It only takes a moment for things to change.
If we persist and don’t give up—things will break.
Things will shift.
So today, I ask God to bless you with the ability to treasure this moment for what it is.
To honor and love those in your circle, for however long you have together.
To find goodness in the waiting—even in the “not yet.”
May God bless you with the hope and assurance that it’s only a matter of time.
📖 Romans 8:24-25 (TPT) – “For this is the hope of our salvation. But hope means that we must trust and wait for what is still unseen. For why would we need hope for something we already have? So because our hope is set on what is yet to be seen, we patiently keep on waiting for its fulfillment.”
