I was going to be posting something completely different today, but I felt strongly to share with you a delight filled morning spent with a friend, and just how amazing God is.

My precious friend and I meet fortnightly (or as per available).  Lets call her Chicky for for the purpose of this blog.

We began meeting about 2 years ago after a realisation that we were both prayer girls. During this time we decided to come together to pray BIG prayers – prayers that were led by Holy Spirit in the moment of meeting. We would come without agenda…with open hearts ready to pray whatever came, intercede with whatever came up and celebrate Him who has done great things – and who IS Himself GREAT!!!

I can honestly share with you, it’s been one of the richest times spent in prayer and worship. I value and love this precious friend. I honour her for her sacrifice of time in her week to prioritise God. I celebrate the things we have seen, experienced and heard through this special time together. I look forward to many more times together spent giving pure worship to our loving Father God, our treasured friend Jesus and our great source of encouragement and life Holy Spirit.

Matthew 18:19-20

When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I’ll be there.”

I felt to share a brief overview of what happened this morning to encourage you – and secondly just to celebrate how Amazing God is when we choose to put aside a little time with a friend to put Him first.

Chicky and I met at 9.30ish and chatted over coffee and water. Chicky had a second coffee (which was probably an indicator that we were in for a wired morning with Him! lol)

We began with the question: What has God been talking to you about?

She shared about there being a time of breakthrough needed, and she felt as if it was coming to a head. This was something that we prayed for often through circumstances and standing in the gap – but this was different and seemed so much more intensified with Truth…for now….

My spirit was thrilled to hear this bit of information – it seemed to connect with what, God had been laying on my heart. She was given the what and I had been given the how.

I shared that God had given me a word during the night – That He was thawing.

I sensed He was thawing people, hearts, situations. He had also been revealing much about blind eyes seeing and turning a fresh page for people in this season. Before Chicky had arrived, He had been saying wait…..declare that you will wait….so I shared this too.

We headed into the lounge room (which we call the God room- because it is technology free, has a beautiful view and has been bathed in prayer and worship since the home was built.) It’s a place where Holy Spirit seems to come quickly and beautifully touches people who need to encounter Him and His presence.

We began worshipping with a couple of songs – we tend to just see what songs come to our hearts and play & sing those. Thankfully we are pretty comfortable with one another and sing our hearts out at times, with abandon before Him. There are few places where we can be our true selves, without fear…..I am so thankful for this place and friend to share such a special time with.

He had lead me to a random song by Mumford and Songs “I will wait” before Chicky arrived..so we began there….- as we sat, sang and soaked in the truth of these words….Unbeknownst to us Holy Spirit had begun preparing us for this time many hours before we actually met. Amazing!!!!

Next….a desire to worship and honour the name of Jesus…..

What a Beautiful Name – Hillsong & No Other Name – Jesus Culture both came up….

It was at this point that we just stopped and continued listening for where to next….and boy….did we go many places. I can’t hope to cover every one of them…but needless to say – Holy Spirit had a LOT of fun wowing us at every turn.

Verses, pictures, songs, revelations…connecting the dot moments.

 

This was so exciting!!! Like a treasure hunt but a prayer and praise one.

He gave many pictures, promptings and arrows of where and how to pray.

Then a clear word came in ….Eyes of the Heart.

I asked Chicky what on earth that meant?

She said she knew exactly because she’d been reading from during the week.

Strike that Holy Spirit had been preparing us all week. lol.

Ephesians 1:17-23

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit^[a] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. ¹⁸ I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, ¹⁹ and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength ²⁰ he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, ²¹ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. ²² And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, ²³ which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

This was a true POWER word which seemed to encompass every single thing that He had us praying throughout the morning. WOW….cannot stop thinking this about the whole morning….WOW…You WOW us Lord!!!

At one stage Chicky had been declaring that we would begin to see our circumstance through heavenly eyes, that our vision would be brought to higher places.

I couldn’t help myself and stood up on the couch wanting to get to a higher place physically – a prophetic act of sorts. It was fun!

Chicky opened her eyes and said, what on earth are you doing up there – and I said..getting to a higher place, want to come up?

She was keen.

So there we were, standing atop of the couch cushions (which weren’t entirely stable), laughing a lot as we endeavoured to balance and pray.

We felt God lifting our vision to a higher place. This was a tangible feeling.

Chicky and I laughed afresh, trying not to fall off the edge of the couch – being amazed at how we were being given such encouragement that we were on the right track with God in our prayers. God was and is so good to us.

We danced… We sang….We laughed….We soaked in His presence….We felt the tingling sensations that came when He was present and working.

It was such a JOY to be a part of this special time.

Take Aways

I felt to encourage you that the areas of your life that have felt fatigued or washed out-you are the edge of breakthrough. So close it could tip to your benefit any second.  We sense fresh delicious breath returning to you.

If you’ve been somewhat asleep, (not even of your own doing)……..we sensed that you are about to or are being woken to new levels and depths and heights in Him. You’re about to awaken if you’ll partner with Him in it.

We sensed and experienced being lifted to higher places when circumstances try to overcome us all…..that God was lifting our vision so that we could view the bigger picture and know His truth….(and therefore wouldn’t freak out nearly as much.)

As Chicky and I were praying, we felt strongly that God was melting hearts.

Now humanly we observed when a heart is put on ice – it goes into sleep mode of sorts only to be refreshed when connected to the blood source and jolted back into pumping once again…….Just as with someone suffering with hypothermia – their body parts go into a sleep mode and will eventually lead to death, without warmth and protection.

We sensed strongly that God had created safe and secure places for those of us who have been feeling exposed to the elements or vulnerable on some levels.

This is YOUR TIME to come in from the cold….be able to stay vulnerable, but in safe conditions and protection from the Father. (In the best possible ways! !)

We sensed that He was breathing warmth over the parts that had grown cold, or were not as passionate as they once had been. It was a fearless place for you to be fully yourself and know the love of the Father.

We sensed Him again, bringing home the prodigals!!! (we have actually been seeing the reality of this in our home church…I wonder if you are experiencing the same?)

Chicky then looked over to my shelf and she was drawn towards a cd set amidst dozens which read – she looked at me in wide-eyed amazement….it read…..AWAKEN NOW!!!!

AWAKEN NOW!!!!!!

LOLOLOLOLOL………THIS WAS SUPERNATURAL…..It all connected….it was the theme of the morning. Beautiful…..

This was the final straw for our morning!!! Holy Spirit….you are AMAZING..so personal…so loving….so full of fun and parts to explore and journey with. Thank you for journeying with us this morning…..please continue doing this throughout the weeks/months and years ahead. You are addictive in the best possible way…like a hearty meal put before us – you satisfy us fully with all you bring.

What in incredible morning!

Father,

We thank you that you hear us as we speak with you.

We thank you that you are with us every step of the way.

We thank you for being One who wants us to walk in freedom with yourself.

You have plans and purposes that bring us into refreshment and life-giving places

Awaken now circumstances that have been in a holding state or pattern.

Awaken now hearts that have been cool to you because of hurts, fears or oppression.

Awaken now those who have been given a false representation of you, and show them the truth of you in their circumstances.

AWAKEN US ALL precious Lord…..Awaken Us in this Moment in Time to release all that looks to keep us in passivity, then empower us to step into our God-given destinies.

In Jesus powerful and wonderful name.
